“Lindsay’s Kids” was a program administered to by The Lindsay Leigh Kimmett Memorial Foundation from 2008 to 2025. It provided equipment and registration cost support for hundreds of Cochrane minor hockey and ringette players. Lindsay was a ringette player from age 6 to 19 when she took up hockey. She loved to play and was on multiple teams at the time of her death. The semi final for the Atrophy Cup at the University of Calgary School of Medicine was the last time Kelly and Dianne saw and talked to Lindsay on February 12, 2008. Her team won in overtime and went on to honor her with a finals victory days after her passing.
